“I joined Camex in August 2021 as a project manager in the Land Development team. In April 2024, my family and I moved to the sunny shores of Papamoa Beach, where I now lead projects and serve as the main point of contact for Camex in the Bay of Plenty region.

Camex has been an incredible place to grow both professionally and personally. The Senior Leadership Team and Divisional Managers have backed me every step of the way, presenting me with opportunities to build my skills and tackle exciting projects. It’s not just about the work either; the team here is top-notch! Everyone at Camex is always friendly and supportive, and the Brewers have instilled a culture that really values work/life balance – we also know how to have a laugh between meetings!

I’ve worked with a few civil contractors in the past in similar roles, but what really sets Camex apart is the transparency and involvement in every aspect of a project. From tendering, planning and construction, to tracking finances and programme, right through to project closeout, I’m involved in all of it. This hands-on approach has allowed me to grow significantly as a project manager, and also ensures our projects achieve maximum efficiency and top-quality outcomes.
