Careers at Camex

“I’ve been working at Camex for two-and-a-half years now, as a Grader Foreman in the pavement team, after originally working as a temp on various sites with Camex.

Having previously worked as a grader driver overseas before deciding to move to New Zealand, I came to Camex with a good knowledge of the civil industry but needed to learn New Zealand’s different processes and methodology.

With the support and guidance of the team here at Camex – my fellow drivers, friends, mentors, and managers – I was able to develop a strong understanding of what is required, while also growing my skills as a grader driver.

I feel excited to come to work every day knowing that Camex is managed by a humble family, and encouragement is always there from the Brewers and my colleagues.

On a personal note, my work at Camex has also helped secure my residency status, which allowed me to bring my family over to New Zealand from the Philippines. We all really enjoy living in New Zealand full-time.
