As a Recruitment Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering effective recruitment outcomes and exceptional candidate experiences. Working alongside hiring managers across the group, you’ll implement recruitment strategies, support workforce planning, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, supporting hiring managers and delivering a smooth candidate experience.
- Create clear position descriptions, job ads, and employment agreements, partnering with managers to define recruitment plans.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction processes to ensure positive, consistent experiences for new hires.
- Represent the wider Camex Group externally through networking, agency partnerships, and recruitment events.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, report on key metrics, and contribute to continuous HR process improvement.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar recruitment or talent acquisition role.
- Strong skills in planning, implementing, and improving recruitment strategies and processes.
- Demonstrated marketing skills to create engaging content and attract top talent.
- Exposure to immigration processes, accreditation, and migrant worker support is desirable but not essential.
- A qualification in Human Resource Management or related field is beneficial, but not mandatory.

Drainlayers (Cambridge, Tauranga & Taupō)

About the role:  
As a Drainlayer at Camex Civil, you will be part of a team delivering crucial projects across the Waikato & Bay of Plenty. These include local body infrastructure, commercial construction, and subdivision development. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that these projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

You’ll work closely with your Site Manager to plan and execute daily tasks, manage job progress, and ensure that health and safety processes are always followed. In this role, you won’t just be following orders - you’ll have the chance to lead and guide others, and take pride in delivering outstanding work that makes a difference in your community.

What you'll bring:
We’re after a dedicated, team-oriented individual with a passion for civil construction.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A proven track record in drainage or water reticulation projects.
- A full Class 1 Driver’s License.
- The ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership skills and experience training or managing others.
- A great attitude and commitment to delivering quality results.

For those applying for more senior roles, we’re looking for:
- Leadership experience, including managing crews.
- The ability to plan and set out jobs.
- Experience operating plant and machinery.
- A completed NZ Apprenticeship or relevant qualification in Drainlaying or Pipeline Construction and Maintenance is preferred (but we’re also keen to help you get there if you’re working towards it!)

Site Manager (Tauranga)

About the role:
As a Site Manager at Camex Civil, you will support the delivery of our projects in the Bay of Plenty area for local body civil infrastructure, civil commercial construction, civil subdivision development, civil works repairs & maintenance.

In this role you will be accountable for personnel and equipment management on assigned sites to ensure that the project objectives of safety, cost, quality and process are met. This involves:
- Managing day-to-day civil construction activities.
- Managing onsite health and safety processes and documentation.
- Supporting onsite cost management and quality assurance.
- Working on the tools alongside the team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across different regions and may at times require travel and occasional stays away from home.

What you'll bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and excavation works.
- Experience with advanced civil construction methodologies and RITS.
- Ability to read and follow construction plans.
- Minimum 1 year’s team management experience.
- Machinery operating skills (advantageous).

Grader Operator (Tauranga)

We’re looking for an experienced Grader Operator to become part of our Tauranga team and help deliver high-quality civil projects across the Bay of Plenty. We’re more than just a civil construction company - we’re a tight-knit team that looks out for one another. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and collaboration, we take pride in the work we deliver and the people who deliver it.

About the role:
As a Grader Operator at Camex Civil, you will:
- Work across local body infrastructure, commercial construction, and subdivision projects.
- Operate graders and other heavy machinery (5T–20T) to move, excavate, shape, and compact materials.
- Carry out daily pre-start checks and minor machine maintenance.
- Work closely with site crews to ensure safe and efficient operations, particularly around other machinery, structures, and services.
- Primarily focus on unsealed road maintenance and grader operations

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 50 hours (Monday - Friday). Saturday work is available but optional.

Remuneration: Competitive pay packages based on skills and experience.

What you will bring:
- A reliable, solution-focused attitude.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating graders and other civil machinery.
- Experience in pavement maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Good physical fitness for a hands-on role.
- GPS experience (preferred but not essential)
- Full Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Class 2 or higher and WTR endorsements are an advantage.
