Project Overview:
Ōtorohanga District Council has initiated a crucial wastewater infrastructure upgrade project across three key sites in Ōtorohanga: Kakamutu to Phillips Avenue, Main North Road & Harpers Avenue, and Rangitahi Street. This project aims to enhance the town's wastewater management capabilities and ensure long-term sustainability of the system.
Project Scope:
The comprehensive upgrade encompasses the supply and installation of 1,506 metres of PVCU and PE sewer pipes, along with 22 manholes of varying diameters. Additionally, the project includes the construction of two pump stations, two valve chambers, and the installation of two flow meters to improve system efficiency and monitoring.
Community Benefits:
This wastewater infrastructure upgrade will significantly improve Ōtorohanga's sewage management, reducing the risk of system failures and environmental contamination.
