In depths up to 5m our Camex Taupo team were tasked to install three Stormwater Downstream Defenders in the larger catchment areas in the Taupo District - two units 2550 Ø installed in Turangi and within the Two-Mile Bay Boat ramp carpark and a third 3000 Ø unit in the Hawai Street reserve.
The Hynds Downstream Defenders have been installed into existing stormwater lines to improve the water quality that enters the waterways/ lake. Being underground, they reduce the size of the footprint with both having an inlet with an S bend and no internal bypass, whilst improving the ecological status.
