We have opportunity for experienced Project Managers to join our passionate team with a diverse pipeline of projects raring to go across Waikato!

We current have 3 positions available, one based at our head-office in Cambridge, and the other within our Taupo branch.

About the Role

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with motivated project teams to ensure the profitability of high-profile projects.
  • Build key client and supplier relationships, as the primary point of contact.
  • Plan and coordinate resources for assigned projects to ensure on time delivery, within specifications and agreed costs.
  • Monitor build cost and quality, supporting the project claims process.
  • Ensure H&S and Environmental Control plans are maintained and implemented.
  • Manage, support and mentor staff to strengthen the capabilities of the Operations Team.

In this role, you will have the support of dedicated site teams, inhouse Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, and experienced colleagues to achieve professional project delivery and client-service objectives.

The ordinary hours of work for this role will be 50 per week, Monday to Friday (Saturday work may be requested under special circumstances, but is not standard practice). We value family and the wellbeing of our team, so provide flexibility where needed.


What's Needed?

To manage the responsibilities of this role, you will need:

  • Proven project delivery record, managing multiple projects and their financial performance (preferably 5yrs within the NZ civil industry for land development and drainage works).
  • A sound understanding of the local authority construction standards, and HS&E legislation and best practice.
  • The ability to use and develop construction programmes.
  • Innovative approach to problem solving and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
